Sandwiched between the main An-Med campus and Anderson University you will find an area once upon a time known as Sleepy Hollow. The name comes from the small dip in the terrain near the creek at the bottom of Marshall Ave. (Click for map of area) Sorry no crazy headless horseman.
This neighborhood is home to a group of people unique and diverse as the homes that are in it. This website is an effort to further communication and discussion within our vibrant community. One cool way of doing this is utilizing the discussion page. Here current issues and events can be discussed online with those in your neighborhood. It's a great way to stay with local events but it also gives our neighborhood a stronger voice within our town.
There is also an events page that will try to announce the details of upcoming events. Garage sales, firework shows, cook outs you name it. The next time there is a neighborhood plant swap you will know. This page will also display photos and or videos from past events.
On the historical homes page we will try and highlight neighborhood homes with a unique history or of architectural significance. This will be a work in progress as we work with homeowners to create this. The main push here is to capture some of these existing details before this information gets lost through the turnover of owners. Let’s try and preserve the history that makes this neighborhood so interesting. If you would like to be included please email us let us know.
That’s all at this point. Obviously this will continue to be a work in progress for some time. If there are suggestions or feedback on what you'd like to see or something that can be improved please let me know. Email me. I'd love to hear from you.
